If we are talking about a 19-inches Rack, we are referring
to the standardized enclosures which are used to place the equipment modules. The
racks on which equipment is mounted is typically termed as rack-mount, rack
–mount system, rack mount chassis, subrack or simply shelf. Each module is
designed in such a way that it should have a19 inches wide front
panel including the edges that allowsit to get fixed to the rack with screws. The
height is fixed as multiples of 1.752 inches. A gap is always allowed above and
below the mounted piece of equipment so that while removing, it may not bind on
the nearby equipment.
The Manufacturers of Racks based in Delhi NCR have designed 19-inch
rack arrangement in such a way that it can be extensively used in many fields
such as video, telecommunication, computing, entertainment and other industries.
In 2-post or 4-post form, these racks permit compact hardware configuration
with moderate floor space usage and are therefore used in modern data centers
and skillfully designed corporate server rooms. They are commonly used in
automation hardware and industrial power. Another important usage isfor keeping
household audio and video equipment which includes amplifiers, headphone amplifiers
and even in audio mixing. A fiber reinforced plastic 19-inch rack is
extensively used in commercial and military applications for electronic
operation and deployment. Though a 23-inch rack is primarily used for housing
telephone, audio, computer and other equipment but is still used less
extensively compared to a 19-inch rack.
There are several types of 19-inch racks available and each
product has its own uses. For instance, 19 inch rack shelves and rack drawers help in
supporting and securing non rackable electronic equipmenton the other hand, 19
inch rack railshelp in supporting the Rack Equipment. Also, a19 inch rack panel that is
available in a wide range of styles and sizes, helps in filling the extra space
within the racks.
So, it may be concluded that These 19 inch racks are really
helpful in placing electronic equipment in a compact space and in a more
effective manner, without doing any harm to the apparatus.
